Yes, I had to keep it conscious for my brothers and sisters in the Diaspora. Thanks and you enjoy your weekend as well.

The artist is my brother, Thomas. He did this piece many years ago. I have it on my wall at home. Thanks and the same for you and your family. :)

Ciao Stephen. Your blog is great!
Lot of greetings from Italy for a happy new year.

I think that Lil Stevie just guessed that Santa can change his size and probably pass through the door, even if it's closed! ;-D

Your brother's art is really cool.

A lot of blessings on the Bess clan. I really hope I'll make it to DC this summer to say "YOH" in the flesh. Well, I'll probably just say "Lumelang." Comes more naturally.

Wish you a great 2007...

I think the Caribbean countries have done nothing to help Haiti. Very sad. I heard something on BBC Caribbean yesterday about a woman who received death threats for speaking out...she's famous, I can't remember her name right now.

Hope your 2007 is filled with peace and happiness, Stephen.

GG-
Thank you! I wish the same for you. Yes, I also read an article in the Washington Post by Haitian born writer, Edwidge Danticat. She also talked about the chaos there in Haiti.

Edwidge Danticat. This is the second time I've heard her name in recent times. Another writer, Clare, http://www.cmwalsh.com told me about her.

Ms. Danticat is a wonderful and very nice lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her at a symposium for Haiti about 2 years ago. She's also a great writer.
