Lyric- Yes, I had to keep it conscious for my brothers and sisters in the Diaspora. Thanks and you enjoy your weekend as well.
Tryphina- The artist is my brother, Thomas. He did this piece many years ago. I have it on my wall at home. Thanks and the same for you and your family. :)
French history on your blog ? I have a faithful visitor (maxime)whose father was from Haiti The picture from your brother is beautiful, I like yellow and red
Happy New Year! A pleasure knowing u this year...looking forward to more interesting stuff from u..:) meanwhile..this little black feline is not sleeping tonight...attending a countdown bash!
A lot of blessings on the Bess clan. I really hope I'll make it to DC this summer to say "YOH" in the flesh. Well, I'll probably just say "Lumelang." Comes more naturally.
I think the Caribbean countries have done nothing to help Haiti. Very sad. I heard something on BBC Caribbean yesterday about a woman who received death threats for speaking out...she's famous, I can't remember her name right now.
Hope your 2007 is filled with peace and happiness, Stephen.
GG- Thank you! I wish the same for you. Yes, I also read an article in the Washington Post by Haitian born writer, Edwidge Danticat. She also talked about the chaos there in Haiti.
Ms. Danticat is a wonderful and very nice lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her at a symposium for Haiti about 2 years ago. She's also a great writer.

Edwidge Danticat. This is the second time I've heard her name in recent times. Another writer, Clare, http://www.cmwalsh.com told me about her.
