Gordon Roger Alexander Buchanan Parks (November 30, 1912 – March 7, 2006) was an American photographer , musician, poet, journalist, activist and film director. This was a great man – he was a self-taught photographer, and a preservationist of African American Life. He encompassed everything I feel about art and expression. He did what came natural, and he did it from the heart. Through his fantastic words and images, he lives on. Photo source: concreteloop.com
