Mocha Hut: Your Move In DC
I hung out at the Mocha Hut Saturday afternoon on U street here in DC. This place is really cool. It has great atmosphere, comfortable seating, gracious host and a delicious breakfast menu that includes delectable snacks! I had a really good breakfast/brunch while I was there. I went there to meet my cousin and his friend who were engaged in a friendly game of Chess when I arrived. Well, I thought it was friendly until the young lady would get frustrated with the game and knock over the pieces. LOL! :) She did this about 5 times as I sat there eating. I would just laugh everytime and she would give me that one trembling evil eye. **grin** She was a sweetheart afterwards and we talked a little before I went out to do a little exploration. It was a nice day and I got a lot of good shots in and around the neighborhood. I'll have to share some more with you soon.

I love American breakfasts that is served in diners. It is the only place where I actually eat breakfast.

I remember in the 2nd grade they taught us all how to play chess and there were very few people in my class that could come close to beating me...but I always won--i think.
I guess I've always had a strategic way of thinking... maybe thats why my favorite game is Mancala.

You're funny! :)I go to Alexandria to eat mostly and to go to the movies at Potomac Yards. I might chill in Old Town or just stay in the Yards and go to Hops Restaurant. They have those yummy little croissants glazed in honey. :)

Eeeeewuuu! Hops?? yuck!! I don't like Hops. The name itself reminds me of a home-brewed beer (Umqombhothi:). I don't like their food either. No Hops for me thanx.

That last statement is definiately true, because I grew up thinking the one game that I Love to play is called Mancala, which it is due to marketing, but I've learned today that the name Mancala refers to a family of games.

Nope, I found some but if you arent a pro, you will be too confused. The one I used to play you could see a hand making all the moves so you could see what was being done.
