A celebration of
and culture in the African Diaspora
good look, i knew about the exit but not the fund
Is that a great moment in history, or a sorrowful one? Or both?
T.Stephens-Thanks. I didn't know about the fund either.MJW-I feel it was a joyous time for those black Americans, because some of them still held on to their African past. I'm certain that some of them who returned could still remember being home in Africa or remembered the stories of their African born parents. Funny, I know descendants of some of those African Americans who have now returned to America as African Immigrants.
Thanks very informative.
If-Thank you for stopping by.
Hi, Stephen! As somebody said once on my blog : "home is where the heart is"... I was in Ivory Coast, do you remember of that, and it was before this beautiful country was independent. I lived there during eleven years then, when it was became a republic. You know that now I live in France. Ivory Coast was my country, France is my country now. I was longing all these coasts by boats often when my family and I went to France each two years for holidays, and then back home in Ivory Coast.Today is my anniversary, and I posted a picture from the time when I was a kid going to school there.
