True Love X Two

"You bring me joy
When I'm down
So much joy
When I lose my way your love comes smiling on me"

~ Anita Baker (1986 Album-Rapture)

"I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
I do not conceal your love and your truth
from the great assembly."

Psalm 40:10 (Bible-New International Version)

Hey! I love some Anita! I was thinking about whipping out last year's Christmas album this past weekend!

I love that song from Anita...

"I saw your face, then I knew we would be friends..." it's a lovely song. It brings back a lot of memories when I hear her sing.

Torrance, Geoffrey, Sugar, and Cathy-
I agree. Anita Baker takes me back to my days in the Navy when I first heard her music. I listen to this music now and I say to myself that no one person could make me feel like this or bring me Joy. Joy comes from within and is only achieved through an intimate relationship with God. Some may disagree, but perhaps they haven't felt "JOY." I have. So, I'm not sure if Anita wrote this song, but the songwriter had to be talking about their walk with God. So, the Psalm that is included in this post is accompanied with Baker's song to give thanks to the one who loved me and you before this world was formed, Jesus Christ. He gives me JOY.

Rapture, isn't it? I remember it like it was yesterday.

And then, nothing should be hidden in the heart, really.

Bright post, bro.

Rethablie-
Thank you brother. It was one of those days and I was inspired to put on my father's shoes as Reverend. :)

'You bring me joy' - I need to hear that ASAP.
I know I've been MIA - you and the Mrs. have been in my thoughts. Hope this holiday season is wonderful for you and yours. Kiss Mrs. Bess for me and give her an extra long holiday hug. ;-)
