I've been doing my fair share of writing these days. The end result is always something interesting this time of year. There is so much inspiration around all. I hope all of you are doing well and I hope you are equally inspired wherever you are in this world.
By the way, this is a self-portrait of my writing hand. The words you see on paper are part of a piece that I am working on. It's almost done. So, tell me...what's going on with you?

Nice little post to start the conversation--especially at this time of year.
Peace,
Geoffrey
Things are OK this side of the world. This is indeed a good season for writing. May the best be with you.
P.S.: I tried hard to make something of the words you're writing, but there weren't enough of them. Will have to wait...
Stephen, it seems to me I'm just close you and i can see you enterely. A person's hand is something so personal. For instance I like old hands which tell the story of a hard labour life
You write with your right hand. And your letters are telling me that your learned to writte in an American way
In France we don't draw our letters so.
In Germany too they are different. I had at home once an Austrian young guy, a friend of my son Etienne. In Austria they learn to writte the same than in France....
What was your question ? How I am ? OH ! I'm fine now. You know, Stephen, I believe I'm better for my inspiration just now. I have some more time. My family needed me much until now... To be able to create, it is necessary for me to have time and so to be peaceful...
I liked this post. :-)
I'm BUSY! Lots of work projects, lots of jazz-writing projects...it's a big stretch.
Congratulations on your writing process... wishing you well. I'll be back to see what you're writing!

Thesis and storyboarding. Planty of things to do and no time. But I'm happy you're still in my bloglife for a good break!
See ya brother!

Hello!!!
All is well. Love the pic -especially the small fall leaves int he background. I, too, love reading, writing, and dancing outside where I can hear the breeze and birds.
Have a great one - kiss the mrs. for me. :-)
All good with me. Busying myself as usual and there are never enough hours in the day. Very much enjoying motherhood :) I love that picture! Take care x
Resting and writing and reading you. Love that writerly pic. Excellent.
Well, I'm curious about what you're writing, but I won't ask!
As for me, I'm collecting as many stories as I can, trying to think of new ways to write, new techniques to present these stories.
Peace Brother,
I don't know what you're writing about in your self-portrait but I clearly see the word "chillin." LOL!
Let us know when you're done with it.
I feel you and i feel the same way, regardless of the time of year
Writing a blog and writing outside of it is sooo different for me. Outside, I measure every word. A sentence can often take forever until I get it the exact way I want it to read.
My inspiration comes from my own family tree. Listening to my elders talk has been a great source of stories I feel the need to tale.
It seems "the blog" is graduating to it's own place in media at last. Someone told me yesterday that she asks reporters "is this a question for your blog or for broadcast" and then tailors the answer accordingly. We're definitely on the edge of something here...
Hey Brother Stephen!
I'm doing well, been real busy and all, but life has been treating me very well.

I'm waiting to go on holiday!
bless,
i'm glad you're writing & sending things out. i have had a line in my head for about 3 weeks now. i REFUSE to let it go until i can write it down. the idea has come & go in my mind, but i need space (and time) to write. i'm glad you're doing it tho...can't wait to see what comes of it.
peace

I agree. The hands are very intimate. They tell a story. I’m happy to share my hands in friendship. Consider it a handshake. Good to see you.

Yes, so much inspiration from family and ancestors. They are the source of my work. Thanks.
Dave-
Yes, they actually want to know what we think. I’ve been thinking about that lately. Thanks and welcome.

I know that’s right. Have fun.

Send. Send. Send. Your writing is great. There are many who would appreciate it. I recently received my first rejection. I felt like a true writer at that moment. Peace~
I love this pic, giving us a dose of inspiration to write, write, write. I've been doing both painting and writing, leaning more towards painting for now. My mood changes constantly so I don't know what I might want to do today. Thanks for sharing with us. I think winter is the time where people relax and get their kick of inspiration whether from the weather, books, art or people.
Writing is just about my favorite thing to do although I seem not to like academic writing as much as I should.
