Personal Update

Hello friends and family. I wanted to let you all know that I have moved on to pursue other things. You may remember a previous post when I spoke about going back into the classroom as a teacher. Well, I have secured a position with an area community college. It will be my first experience teaching on a college level. It's a great start for me and I am excited! It was a careful decision that was finally decided through prayer and ultimately...obedience. There are some of you who understand exactly what I'm talking about. Well, I will be preparing for that position over the next couple of weeks. You will be in my thoughts. Peace~

I remember you speaking of this! Welcome to the community college experience. I, too, am an adjunct professor, aka part-time librarian, at the local community college.

Stephen, I wish you all the best.
I have worked in a community college now for sixteen years full time and six years as an adjunct.
It is really a rewarding experience.

Blessings always...
Geoffrey

YOU MADE IT! Congratulations! Next time we're going to be in proximity, allow me to buy you a drink. :-)

P.S. That finality in "I have moved on to pursue other things." ...is this the end of Morphological Confetti?

MJW-
Thank you. No, I won't stop doing MC. I'm hooked. It will probably always be around to serve some sort of purpose.

Sounds GREAT. Congratulations...Wait, what did you do before? Weren't you an elementary school teacher? May be I don't know you at all (Just kidding). Community College can be an interesting experience. You may find that the foreign and older students are more interested in learning and the younger students are more interested in passing. What will you be teaching?

lol! Thank you.
I've been working at a publishing company for the past few years. Prior to that, I was a high school English teacher. I'll be teaching writing in the developemental studies department at the community college. I'll be going back to basics.

That's great, Stephen! I'm inspired by your dedication to pursue something your heart lead you to. I'm also happy you'll still moving along with MC, I felt a little sad when I thought you might not do so. CONGRATS!

Oh ok... Its all making sense to me now - "Going back to teaching." Well, I'm sure you'll love it. I should find my niche' in teaching - I'd love to have my summers off again - oh and mold the children.. :-)
Congrats again on the new position!
