Photo: Snow Scene

This is a self portrait of me walking to work this morning near the edge of Georgetown. It's snowing here in DC. So far, there is a light dusting. I don't think that it will do much, but I am definitely ready for Spring.

Hey Stephen. I have been over-worked, under-rested and unable to get my blog or my life together the past two weeks. So - HEY BROTHA!!!! I like the new look. Thanks for stopping by my page. Where is your chat-box? I'm excited about the new site. Jazz is LOVE and I'm dating someone special. :-)
Kiss the wife and I LOVE this pic. You really know how to capture DC soul even in the snow.

Hey Stephen, is that you, the red cross surrounded by white? That's all I can see. You need to fast-forward to Spring? I knew it! Come over to my place and collect, OK?

I woke up this morning and saw that it was snowing outside and I wasn't pleased. But the snow reminds me of home.

I'm ready for spring too!

that's a nice picture of you.

i can't wait for spring!

Nice pic! You remind me of my walk along the C & O canal in Georgetown 20 years ago, it was late, the moon was full and the path was covered with snow. My good friend and I had just left Blues Alley after hearing McCoy Tyner. The daffodils have shown their yellow trumpet faces in the PNW. Spring will be your way soon ;)

Here in Texas during the winter months, it is cold one day and hot the next. Summer in Houston, is hot and humid. Spring to soon turns into summer.

Not bad this picture I'm trying to imagine your camera at the end of your arm. I presume you lost plenty photograph before getting one neat
I like the framing and the out of focus of the backgroud

Susan-
Thank you. I haven't been called "cool" since high school. :)

I'm happy to hear that things are going so well for you. *smile* I will kiss the wife and pass on the love to her. That always makes her blush and giggle. I'm not too sure about the box?? We'll see. Meanwhile, I'll try to keep the "soul" alive. :)

Thami-
Yes, I know that you are enjoying Summer weather right now. :)

SEJ-
Thanks bro!

Icarus-
Yes, the pics are beautiful there at your place.

UB-
...and it's still snowing from this morning.

Kai-
Thank you so much. You want Spring too, huh? :)

Zapped-
That sounds like the perfect evening. :)I haven't been to Blues Alley in over a year. I need to pay a visit.

Bronze-
Yeah, that Texas weather is strange. It's definitely not confused in the Summer though. It's just straight HOT down there. :)

Cergie-
Thank you! Actually, this was a lucky one on the 3rd try. The others came out not so good at a weird angle. I was satisfied with this one.

Love the angle! BTW, it's in the 70s here in H-town. :)

Good picture! I can see here in Uruguay days are getting cooler and rainy so I'm sure Spring is on its way to the north, wait for it and enjoy each minute when it comes!!
I linked you in my page. I found all your posts really interesting.
It is said that only 4% of our population is African Uruguayan and for that reason most of Uruguayans are not involved in these topics you write about; however I consider we shoud learn because learning is understanding, understandig is loving, loving is peace.
Take care my friend. xoxox

Hi Stephen!
I am SO with you on wanting spring! This time of year I can hardly wait, although we do not get spring until Mid to late April... At least I have heat now, my furnace kaputted on Mon night and I could not get it fixed until Wed evening. BURR, it was cold!:(

I also LOVE the pic! You are so talented, in so many ways! Stay warm and keep thinking spring!

I'm ready for it, too. The Paris air is beginning to thaw, and I think in a few days I may able to go out without a coat on.

Hey Stephen,

I'm trying to become a real blogger. I just opened the comments section on my blog. Everyone has so far commented as anonymous. Ashamed to know me? I don't know. Please stop by and leave me a comment. I'm lonely and I don't know anybody at the party. Also, someone asked me what I looked like and I wanted to ask you if I could borrow your cool photo since I have none of my own. But that might be weird. Nice shot!

This makes a great poster Mr. Bess, I like how the flurries sprinkle lightly on your hat. Spring is right around the corner although it was 13 degrees here in NY today and felt more like 0 :(

That's mighty cold of you to mention the weather in H'town. :)

Bygbaby-
I here you bro. :)

Analia-
Yes, that is my subject of choice. I love culture and people of color are represented all over the globe. Thanks for that little tidbit on Uruguay. I didn't know about that. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for the love. Peace xoxo :)

Faith-
It's always so nice to hear from you. I'm glad that you are warm again. Stay that way till spring. :)
Thanks for the compliment. The right side of my brain shifts to overdrive at times. Have a good weekend. Peace~

Uaridi-
Always good to see you sis. Peace~

Writer-
:)I'll be over to visit. Thanks

Thanks Cathy! Stay warm and have a great weekend. Peace~

Love it! the angle really gives it a sense of movment .... very hard effect to achieve :)
Spring always leaves me with mixed emotions, I do look forward to a return of colour and life .... but I really hate hot!!! so I get a kind of reverse seasonal depression. Summer can make me turn vampire. (only come out at night)

tu s.tin-
Thank you! It was a cross of fingers. It came out just the way I wanted after about 3 tries. I'm not fond of hot weather either. Spring is a weird dressing time too. Well, here's a toast to seasons. :)
