A moment in American History: This Day On...

April 5, 1951 - Washington, D.C. Municipal Court of Appeals outlawed segregation in restaurants.
I'm happy that our forefathers and foremothers paved the way because I really love the spinach dip with bow tie pasta at Copeland's. Yum! :)

Ahh! I always get this whenever I visit Copelands. It's so delicious! I can't eat it too often though because they'll start calling me "Big Boy." :)

Yes, I try to educate/learn as often as I can. I'm hungry too, but I'm about to go to lunch.

It's thoroughly possible that I view the world through pink tinted glasses, and forget that things have not always been so rosy for anyone with a sun kissed complexion (and we're not talking about rent a tan or wanna look like a human sausage!)
Thanks for reminding me that sometimes, even in the little things, we have to give thanks, for we stand upon the shoulders of giants
