this is so crazy & sad. but it's true. it takes so long for America & other "powers" to react when people of color are involved.

Yes, and we are in a society that would like to just forget and go to the beach when it gets warm. Everyone wants to hang out and have a cookout. It's ok to have fun and enjoy life, but we have to take the time to care for others who are suffering in this world. We try to pretend that there is no connection, but we are connected in more ways than we would like to admit. We are we.
