The statues/memorials in DC are most beautiful when it snows. There were about 3 to 5 inches last night in some areas of the DC metropolitan area (Midwest laughs). Anyway, this is one of my favorite snow scenes of the Korean War Memorial. It really makes you think of the troops and also of past conflicts. So, this snowy scene is dedicated to the veterans. I'm a Navy veteran (Doesn't that make me sound old?). **smile**

You're a former Navy Man? ok, I'm definitely hooking you up with Sumeeta.
Haa haa! :)Ok, is there a story that is connected to this that involves Sumeeta and a sailor man?
Stephen, great tribute to the Veterans. Thank you for your contribution.
N.B. Your maturity preceeds you. I do think u a lil on the mature side hee hee I stand corrected :)
Tryphina,
Okay, "mature" is just another word to describe an aging man. :) That's cool. I'll be an O.G.
I think what Stephen is referring to is that I have a thing for guys in uniform!
that's a great photo! i love LOOKING at snow, but i'd hate to live in it.
Well yeah, Sumeeta is right-- BUT also, my goal is to hook her up. And so far Mr. Bess is the best candidate.
Sumeeta-
You should've seen me back in the day with my Summer white uniform. I always kept my shoes polished like glass and I never failed inspection. :)
Stephen-
I'll have to take you wanting to hook me up with Sumeeta as a high compliment because I think that I know how you feel about her. So, thanks.
Nikki-
I like the snow. I like it as long as I am equipped to handle it (gloves, boots, coat, etc.). I just enjoy the Seasons in general.
Wow, this is a beatiful picture, but it makes me realize that old man winter is on his way!!!! Don't get me wrong I love the season I just don't like having to drive 90 minutes to work in a snow storm.
I am in Canada, and so far here in Nova Scotia...NO snow!
Canada! Wow! Snow is definitely on the way for you. I know that cold weather is like an old friend to you though. :)
Stay warm Groove.
Those statutes look so powerful with a little of the white stuff. Thanks for sharing the photo.
Brea-
Yes, they do look powerful and very life like. You should visit them whenever you're in downtown DC.
I could not imagine what its like there in the winter time! Being raised in the south I cannot handle that COLD!!!!
I understand. If you were raised in it the temps can be unbearable. You know, it's funny that they have so many people from the Caribbean living in Canada. :)
I was in DC on Christmas and remember it was bitter f'in cold. I felt bad for the homeless, which were everywhere. I still have my picture of me flicking off the white house.
Crallspace-
Yeah, I've done the drive by "bird" at the White House mansion. Way to go, bro!
I wonder just how many ppl do the same thing. If I lived there, i don't think I could pass without the bird....
