Busboys & Poets

This is me a couple of weeks ago at a Black Caucus event hosted by the South African Embassy. It was black tie so I had to do my thang. It was at a place called Busboys & Poets located on 14th and V St. NW in DC. It's a nice spot so if you're ever in town check it out. The entire U street corridor is nice. It used to be called "Black Broadway" when my grandmother was young in the 1940's and 50's. Now, it's location is more on the corner of 14th street and Gentrification. You know what I mean?
Anyway, I was sipping on a glass of Pinot Grigio while waiting for my glass of Grey Goose and cranberry.
Don't worry...I wasn't driving. Plus, I didn't drink
too, too much. :-)

Look at you! How handsome you look! Great pic. Pictures really bring a post to life, you know?Sounds like you had a great time. When I do drink wine, Chiraz is my fav. White wines and blushes are good, but I'm a red wine kind of girl.

Have a good one,
Bay

Oops...shows my ignorance! Shiraz is spelled with an 'S' not a 'C'. You'd think I'd know by now! :)

Haa haa! What it shows is that you don't drink too often and that's a good thing. :)
Thank you for the compliment. I did have a really good time that night. There was good food and good friends.

I was in that part of DC when l last visited there, and it has changed. Next time try some Belvedere with that Cranberry, and see if you can tell the difference?

"Busboys and Poets." What a nice name.

And you do look so suave and debonair in your black tie attire.

Be well.
