Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Hi Stephen, if I didn't have this slow isp, I'd be commenting on all you've posted on this page, I especially love that Bowl of gathered thoughts. And me too, I want to know, where have all the men of soul gone?

Your blog makes me want to write and write and write. Oh, have you read Their eyes were watching God? Ay yai yai, what a delicious book.

Hi Stephen!
You guys got blasted as well I see... We got about a foot in most areas by my house and work. We really needed the moisture, so it is time. We were like 24 inches low on snow this year before this storm, so we are starting to catch up. We have been spoiled here in MN. I am lucky to have a neighbor who shovels for me! :) So, I really like the snow. The people who spent all day Sun shoveling their driveways and sidewalks, not loving it so much yesterday as I was. I just snuggled in and watched the MN Wild hockey game and then of course NASCAR! I was very content to spend the day in my jammies with my kitty while the others cleared the streets and my parking lot! (I KNOW I am blessed not to have to shovel! I am buying him a gas card as a thank you!)
That is about all here! Have a great day and thanks for the pic's of the winter wonderland! And I LOVE Robert Frost poems!

I'd love to have some of that snow here, but unfortunately London 'woulda lack dung' (would be closed down).
For me snow just makes a beautiful difference to a scenery.

Lovely poem Stephen, I thought it was yours. However I'm remembering that the darkest evenings of the year are rather in December
To day I took a picture of a ladybug I put it on mys garden blog (Garden of Marguerite)
My rose bushes are ready to be pruned
I'll do it soon, perhaps I'll begin this afternoon

Frost. I stuck with writing partly because of that old bard. Lovely pictures that somehow help the words along.
