I've been swamped with work over the last couple of weeks. Deadlines, Deadlines, Deadlines! My writing project at work will be over at the end of September. I'm looking forward. In the end, I'll be a proud papa of a brand new employee reference manual. Woo hoo! No, it really is exciting. I've never done anything like it before.
I did have time to do things that really love to do. I had a chance to do some writing. I've been reading and spending time with family. This week, I watched the Democratic convention. It was so good that I was even thinking about becoming a Democrat again. Huh? No, I'm not Republican. I'm Independent...whatever that means. For me, I think it means that I haven't been interested in politics or any of this mess we call "Democracy." Now, I'm interested. We'll see what happens. Anyway, life is politics; so, guess that I've always been invoved in some form or fashion. It's definitely going to be an interesting campaign.
Anyway, summer is almost done. Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I'm highly inspired in the fall. It's my creative peak time. I'll keep you posted. Peace~
Note: Oh, I almost forgot. I'm about to unleash my first work of writing. Yes, in the form of a book. I will keep you posted about that as well. It should be sometime before Christmas. So, now you won't have to worry about what to buy your loved ones for Christmas. I'll talk to you soon. Peace~

Congrats on your work project!
Yes indeed become a democrat. You can support chnage on the local level. I know all this presidential stuff is sexy and entertaining and critical on some level. But for me the real work takes place at the local level. The allocation of federal dollars in Cities and towns is what makes the difference. You want to have those dollars go toward things you and other like minded folks deem neccessary and appropriate.
OOOH a book...Oh I can't wait! Yes!
where is that statue located in annapolis
im only a hop skip and a jump away
sounds like it might be cool
you know roots was filmed there too

Congrats on the book. I need to allocate specific time to work on mine. Hopefully I can get it ready for publishing within a year.

Lovebabz-
I've been a Democrat. I can't really say that I left the party. I just took a break. In the end, I always end up Democratic in my vote. It's the lesser evil. I'll keep you posted on the book.
James-
You can't miss the statue. It's on the pier and located just across from Middletons Seafood Restaurant. Yeah, Cynthia Mckinney is cool. I met her once in Savannah, GA back in the early 90s. Great lady.
Sista gp-
Thank you. This is going to be a small book. I will make time for the bigger project as well.
Christina-
Always good to see you too. How are you and how is your son?
Analia-
lol! Now I know what to give you, huh. :)I'll keep you posted. Good to see you. I think that I've had trouble going to your site. I'll check again.
T.Stephens-
Thanks, brother. I'll check that link for Ms. Wheatly.
Hi Stephen, that is super about the book! I can hardly wait!
I hope all has been well for you and your family. Here all has been up and down. My Pops is pretty sick, and that means lots of worries and prayers and visits... He will be ok though.
I will be anxiously awating news about the book!!! Take care!
I was about to say "I know he is NOT an elephant!"
LOL
Congrats on your manual. You go Papa!
Faith-
Good to see you. I'll say a prayer for your papa. God bless him. Yes, I'll keep you posted on the book.
JB-
LOL! Thanks. How are those first days of school?
Hey! Still tuning in here, and excited about your book release! Why do I feel proud when the bloggers I read do something fantastic? Well. I do. Congrats!
Gnight-
Thanks. I'm happy to see that you're still tuning in. I don't get a chance to visit blogger friends like you as much as I used to, but you're still in my thoughts. How is your son?
I'll keep you posted about the book. I have to share my words with the rest of the world. We'll see what they think.
Thank you for the prayers for my Papa, that means a lot!! Prayer is MOST powerful, he is getting better and coming home soon!
Looking forward to the book.
Brother Stephen,
check out my blog and you will see posts and posts and posts and posts about school.
I'm back blogging again, so I'm not just stopping by these days, I'm putting in work.
I'd like to see you around again, if you have the time.
Book - cool! I broke down and opened my Louise Bogan CD for the hurricane here. I had bought it on impulse / your recommendation, then decided I was spending too much money so should save it as a Christmas present for someone else, then really needed new music for the hurricane, sooo ... voila!!! The right moment. :-)
What's up brother Bess. How you liking these politics now that Palin has hit the scene. Doggone Republicans make me sick. I'm Independent too, can't you tell.
Faith-
I like your faith. :)
Cranky-
One small book on the way.
PZ-
I need to break out my Lucile Bogan cd too. Be safe down there.
Rich-
I've been following all the coverage of each candidate. It's been interesting. Palin inspires a lot of hope with the Republicans, but the true test is going to be the debates. I can't wait. As for my party afiliation, in truth, I am probably a Independent Democrat. :)
