Blogger Reflection Award

I have just been given my first blogging award by Guyana-Gyal. The award is called the “Blogger Reflection Award.”

“This award should make an individual reflect upon five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and who have provided a Godly example. In other words, five dear bloggers whom, when you reflect upon them, you are filled with a sense of pride and joy...of knowing them and being blessed by them.”

Guyana-Gyal, this was so kind of you! You are part of my daily routine and I absolutely love your stories. I take a trip to Guyana every time I read your words. *smile* Your writing is fantastic and I can’t wait until I can see it printed on pages in a book.

Now, different bloggers have affected me in different ways. I am going to choose five from my list. I hope you get a chance to visit them and appreciate their work as I have.

First,
Cergie is my connection to France through photography. I became interested in Cergie after coming across her blog in the Fall of 2006. She has touched me in a special way with her photos. Her photos usually feature the French countryside. Beautiful! I started commenting and we soon became friends of the lens. The blessing came when she sent me a photo of a grave yard in France called, Le Cimetière Marin. She asked me to look at the photo and write a poem based on what I saw. This was a tremendous challenge because I’ve never been to France. The end result was beautiful and I learned so much. Thank you Lucie!

Alex E. Roman is a fantastic poet and motivator when it comes to writing and achievement. His website is always interesting because you never know what he’s going to talk about. I always enjoy the links that are connected to his post. Overall, he has been a true brother when it comes to my work. He always offers an honest opinion so I’m never wondering what he really thinks. Thanks Alex. You’re truly truly appreciated. Alex is currently on the road, but I hope you get a chance to check out his work in the near future.

Urban Butterfly writes beautiful poetry and snaps the most wonderful photographs. She seems to pour her heart out in every project that she gets involved in. She recently took a trip to New Orleans this past year to help those who were affected by Katrina. She wrote a touching and heartfelt post on her experience. Urban Butterfly exemplifies a Godly example through her work, her words and her actions. UB is currently on hiatus, but check out her archives when you get the opportunity.

David Patton
is a poet and artist living in the midwest. I first came across his poetry about two years ago. I don't get a chance to visit his blog very often, but I am always intrigued with his poetry and psalms. Personally, I've never come across a person who takes the time to write psalms and prayers. This definitely qualifies as a Godly example. Thank you Mr. Patton.

GetZapped post some of the most inspiring and beautiful quotations and photographs from around world on her blog. I visit almost daily to get myfood for thought. The quotes that are posted there sometime gives me that extra push to continue what I've started. Thanks Zapped!

For the 5 awarded:
1. Copy this bit of the post.
2. Reflect on five bloggers and write a least a paragraph about each one.

My pleasure. That would be fine if you get a chance.

Note to recipients:

I understand that some of you don't tag or do this sort of thing on your blog. So, I'll understand if you just accept and move on. I just wanted to let you know that you're appreciated. Much Thanks~

Hello!
Assume your wife made it back safely - or is that this Sunday?
I've been SO busy reading, writing and preparing for my defense that I can't keep anything straight but how much stress I'm under.

Hope all is well with you. This week is going to FLY by and it will soon be the weekend and we can all RE-LAX! (wishful thinking does wonders for the spirit)

Yes, she is back and safe. As a matter of fact, I'm home with her right now. I told her what you said and she blushed and sent her warmest thanks and hugs. I wish all the best with that Thesis. God be with you and may he go before you. As for the wishful thinking, I do it all the time.

You definitely qualify, congratulations, well deserved.
Though, I differ in the opinion that taking the time to write prayers and palms qualifies one as a Godly person. I am not being judgemental, just an opinion especially after reading all of Mr Pattons blogs ;)
CONGRATS!! once again SB

Dawn-
You're welcome. :)

Fab-
Thank you. I will continue to do what I do.

Fizzio-
I understand what you're saying. I don't think that any of us comes anywhere close to being "Godly" but the act itself is a act towards Godliness. Good to see you.

Stephen!!! LOL!! I'm sorry, I'm at a complete loss for words. I had some down time this morning and decided to read blogs, and here, I stumble upon this particular post and discover and award from you!! I don't even know what to say...I'm speechless! The awards are pouring in!

Well, first and foremost, THANK YOU for choosing to reflect upon me. I am truly flattered and honored. I sincerely appreciate the write-up you posted. I, by no means, consider myself to be anyone special. It's just that everything I do, I do it straight from the heart and I'm always sincere. And perhaps, people recognize that. I'm going to do my awarding today. Again Stephen, thank you so much! I appreciate you!!! *BIG SMILE & HUG*
