Black Music Month: The Commodores - Sail On

As some of you know, June is Black Music Month. So, in honor of this month I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to Mr. Lionel Brockman Richie, Jr. (born June 20, 1949). Lionel Richie definitely represents the soundtrack of my early years growing up. God bless him and may he have many more. Enjoy this video and the weekend. Peace~

Internet connection sucks. Can't play video, but 'Truly' is one of my favorite all-time songs.

U2, bro.

Truly, Sail On, Zoom, Jesus is Love, most of them were my staples.

ZOOM is it for me. Although when I was in college 1000 years ago, I was engaged to a guy who had his frat pledgees sing "Truly" to me under my dorm window. It was way cool!

You must have the cd? :)

TStephens-
Zoom is one of my favorites too. There are so many. Yes, classics.

Rethabile-
So true. True indeed.

Lovebabz-
lol! That sounds like a scene from an old Spike Lee Joint. :)

This is cool, I also love the Commodores. I think I'll throw their CD into my car stereo and listen to it for the next week or so as I drive around town. Lots of great memories to go along with the music, thanks for sharing.
