Photography: Utopian Shadows in Black & White

These are photos that I took at the Utopia on U Street here in DC. I was attracted to the shadows that night as it rained.

I had my wedding rehearsal dinner at U-topia so I have a special soft spot for pics of it...but the shadowy ones are really cool.

I especially like the teapot. :-)

MJW-
Thanks! We have something in common with Utopia. I took my wife there on our first date when we met.

Great pictures Stephen! I love black and white photographies. I don't know what Utopia is, but I guess it's a lovely place.

Yes, good eye. My favorite is the first, with the shadow of that (Moroccan?) teapot. The Utopia, I'll keep that in mind! And hello!

Interesting pics, Stephen. I'm planning a trip to DC later this year and I'm hoping to add the Utopia on my list of sights to visit.

oops I wanted to add--- PS,
I had to change my blog url by creating a new blog. For some reason Blogspot wouldn't allow me access to Phases of Writing. (crying)

Hi, stephen, I apologize not coming often these last times I was so busy with my children and so on
It's amazing how the same word is used for different business
UTOPIA in Fraznce is a film library chain which you may find in several towns
For instance Bordeaux where my son Etienne was living or Pontoise near Cergy
Utopia allowed to independant movies to exist and be seen by spectators
For instance there we can see Woody Allen's Movies

There is no more snow in Cergy for the moment, however trhe weather is very cold
I'm sure will have some soon
