A Few Damned Good Men

This picture was taken in 1985 at Circus World in Orlando, Florida. I was 18 years old and fresh out of boot camp in the United States Navy. The only information that I can remember about the other two guys in this picture is that one was from Chicago and the other was from Indianapolis. I wanted to share this picture in honor of Veterans Day and the service men and women serving in the US and abroad. By the way, can you pick me out of these three men?

Happy vets day.

Of course, you are in the middle!!! Nice picture, Mr. Handsome!!! =)

I was going to join the Air Force, but they didn't accept me because I'm allergic to aspirin! I really wanted to go. But oh well...college is nice too. =)

HAHA. I could tell you were in the middle from the GQ chin pose.
Funny - I was in the Army National Guard until I decided to join the Air Force... Long story.
Man - in 1985 - I was 4. Unless it was summer - then I was STILL 3. DAGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. :)
To all the VETERANS!!! Including my high school boyfriend Shalimar (haha - thats funny all by itself) who is an officer in the Navy and back overseas until December.

My guy is currently stationed in Yokosuka Japan with the US NAVY. I'll be seeing him next month.
Peace and Blessings to all those military men who are currently serving with the forces in all capacities. Prayers for the families who have lost a loved one to war...
Rememberance to all the VETS who fought in previous wars, their numbers are dwindling, my father included..

To morrow, i'll do a post / 11 november, the date for memory of the end of the first World War.
It will not be a sad post though

It may happen that we have forgotten all of the persons we where with in the past, it's for that reason that it's ever useful to write the names at the back of the picture

I didn't know that an allergic reaction to asprin could keep you out. Thanks for the compliment too for young Stephen.

Dance-
Haa ha! You know I was a B-boy. :)That's my Southeast DC pose. Yeah, you were just a baby. I could've been your uncle Steve or daddy by today's standards. lol
Peace out to the vets and service members including Shalimar.

Alli-
Welcome and thanks for sending that msg of good will out to the veterans. Peace to your love in Japan. I know that you must be anticipating your joyous reunion.

Cergie-

You're in the middle, you look more or less the same. 1985. It seems so recent, but it isn't! That was when I had all of those adventures in Brazil. (Well, I had others later, but all the ones having to do with culture shock were then.)

Rose said...

The middle. You just look a little older. Too bad you don't know the others name, that would be fun to find them.

Wow 85, I was in the 5th grade so that means...

Like JB, I spotted the nose, easy characteristic on most.

Great flashback photo.
