A Goat Named Curry

This little fella almost made me give up curried goat because he was so cute. Funny...you should have seen how one of my uncles was looking at the goat. As a matter of fact, they are looking at each other, but my uncle is cutting his eyes at the grill. LOL! You can see his hat above at the left bottom of the picture. As you can see the goat is quite curious about my camera. This made for a great mug shot.

I remember a story, but no song?? No, I couldn't eat that goat after staring him in the face with my camera. :)

My grandfather used to tell me that he would buy me a goat If I came to stay with him in North Carolina. I went there at 12 and this is the closest that I've come to getting a goat. :)

I have a friend who has a serious problem with meat because of the animals she "knew" when she was younger.

Apparently, she named one of her barnyard friends and played with it, that is until it wound up on the dinner table, after she witnessed it butchered.

Personally, I've never been moved by that. Possibly because I love the taste of food so much.

Your talk of Curried Goat makes me wanna go to this Trinidad restaurant here in Chicago.

Hmmm... goat.

my wife makes some of the best goat ever. She beats out some places in the city as far as taste goes. Where is this place in Chicago? I've been to greasy Harold's Chicken there. I went to the one near Hyde Park.

The place is called Trinidad Cafe: www.cafetrinidad.com.

It is located on 75th and St. Lawrence. It is owned by a very nice family from Trinidad.

And the beautiful hostess doesn't hurt either.

You're a lucky man to have a wife that can really cook. I've only had one girlfriend that could make more than toast.

I'm getting hungry just looking at the menu! I'll have to check it out the next time I visit Chicago.
Yes, I feel lucky to have a wife that cooks. She loves to cook! Every now and then I'll fix her a meal. She seems to like my cooking, but I love her cooking very much!

Brilliant photography Stephen :) Your grandfather is a wise man. He probably knows how hard it is to try and take "Africa" out of any African hee heee :) Goat is a pet pal!! I personally, don't mind it on my plate, especially if it's curried, and well spiced. Tropicana makes the best curried goat in, check them out.

Your wife is giving us (the honest-lazy-to-cook people) a bad name :)

i digs the goat from time to time, but i like curry chicken better. it's less salty.

Personally, I like my goat grilled. Thank you so much for the prominent position on your link list! I sent you an invite in your email, hope you got it. I feel even more inspired to write since I re-launched my blog less than a month ago and you are one of the reasons why. Keep up the great work.
