Writing Project

A friend of mine is working on a book and she wanted a male perspective. Below is her request and what I was able to come up with initially. I just have to come up with my description for her. The character names are Saint and Amina

Stephen:

AT YOUR CONVIENENCE, would you please be Saint, and describe from the moment you pull up to the restaurant, until you are actually seated next to Amina.

By the way, you’re startled because of how naturally beautiful she is, and the vibe you both share during the initial eye contact. Thanks!!

The moment that I walked through the door our souls connected. It was like seeing Amina
for the first time. I knew from that very moment that I desired her. I don’t mean that in a
sexual way, but a spiritual form of possession or maybe I wanted her to possess me. I stood at
the door for a moment as we both locked eyes. We were smiling at each other as if we both had
good news to tell. “Can I help you sir?” The host at the door asked as I stood there watching
Amina unable to move. “Sir….can I help you?” The hostess repeated as I turned around to give
her my attention. “Thank you, but I see exactly who I’m looking for. She’s sitting right over
there.” The hostess smiled as if she knew what my intentions were. I smiled back at her to
confirm her thoughts.

Good Morning Stephen! I hope that all is well in DC. Here in MN, all is good.

That totally grabbed me in, I want to read more. That is really, really good. You can totally feel what you are describing! Wonderful as usual! :0)

Good morning Faith! Everything is fine here in DC. We're going to reach almost 80 today and then it's back in the 60's by the weekend. :) It's nice either way. Thanks for your comment and have a great day.

That was very well written and the attraction you conveyed was tangible. As alway, you're a very good read.

oh..and my only little crit...is that you didn't describe Amina. if you saw a beautifil woman, wouldn't you run her looks through your mind? what caught your attention, etc.

and i thought the host was a man because you said "host" and not "hostess" (just somthing to consider for your book *smile* don't confuse us!)

Aha aha aha.... eye sex! told you!

what did Amina look like, her lips, her hips. Her eyes. What did you notice in your minds eye? C'mon! Ok she's hot. But how hot?

prisoner's wife-
Ah ha!! Of course...I should've said hostess! :) Thank you! Yeah, I didn't get a chance to run her down (looks) yet. I don't know if I should pick up from there or insert it right after seeing her?

stunuh jay-
I know! That eye sex is the bomb. :)

I'm going to try and describe her tonight and post tomorrow. :)
This will be fun! Thanks for the input.

Writers and medical doctors are the only people I know who can write bad English and it's acceptable!! bhw aaaaaaa

I am intrigued by the reference "host" and then... "she"
Maybe the host was a man with a feminine disposition or vice versa. However, the writer's mind is too immensed shall I say mesmerized ..to actually try and figure all that out. The author clearly states the spiritual connection you can only feel when you have the best physical accompaniment. Stephen, I hope I did not lose bro, your writing is music...it is great whether you go Accapella, or you are accompanied by a Calabash drum.. I can almost hear that basso continuo!!!!!

It's good to be in love, it's a risk worth taking ya'll :)

Haa haaa!!!! Tryphina, you are a trip. :)The little details are important. This is why editors are so great. Since this blog is for tweaking my craft I welcome all comments. Thanks for your comment. It made me smile and yes love is a wonderful thing.

Good writing pulls you in...embrasses you until you begin to live in the text.

That happened here. Moreover, like a good dream, I didn't want it to be over. I wanted you to take me over to that table and I wanted to see her through you.

I wanted the rest of it (I even started to write the next part in my head)...so get on your pen (or keyboard) Mr. Bess!!!
