Friday In DC

Friday is finally here. It's a sort of a rainy Friday here in DC, but that's cool. The temperature is really mild for this time of year so I wore the light jacket and hat that you see on my photo. I'm a man of many hats and jackets. I have to keep this bald head warm in the Winter. However, I do like the occasional feel of a cool rain on my head. :-) I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend and, of course, watching the Super Bowl. I think that I'm going with Pittsburgh?? I'll decide while the game is in progress. It'll depend on my mood. I think that I will just watch it at home with family instead of a party or sports bar. Anyway, happy Friday and I hope that it's not raining where you are, but maybe you're like me and you don't mind the rain. Rainy days always remind me of Marvin Gaye's (DC's Own) album, What's Going On. Yes, the entire album. I say album because if you get a chance to see the original album there's a picture of Marvin on the inside wearing a dark overcoat and he is walking in the rain. He has a pensive look on his face. Anyway, be safe and have a great weekend.

I hope you also have a great weekend! I am too looking forward to watching the Superbowl at home with my family. I still think Pitts is going to take it, but it will be close in my opinion. I am excited to watch it, but sorta sad that the season is already over. It went fast this year. Oh well!Take care, and be safe!

PS here in MN it is frozen rain and snow mix, and the roads are slicker than a ice rink. YUCK! I would LOVE to have just rain this AM... Just FYI.

I know Faith...I'm going to miss the season too. You're right, I'm better off in DC. We've had a really mild Winter on the east coast thus far, but we still have the rest of Feb and Mar is not too warm either. The closest that I've come to your winter is Chicago. That place can be a Tundra in the winter. Take care.

Man, I used to listen to that tape almost every night when I was out to sea in the Navy. Back then I identified with the song, What's Happenin' Brother.

Stephen, you do the same and thanks again. Say hello to NYC for me and tell her that I still don't trust her, but I love her.

I'm pretty sure my mum has the original. I can remember looking at it when I was a kid. It's not raining, but it's bloody cold! Fortunately I'm having a chilled night in :-) Have a fab weekend.

The rain totally killed my mood on Saturday. It was gloomy all day and I just wanted to stay in bed. Luckily, today was nice. Hope you had a good weekend.

nml- I love it when I can hear your accent through your words. :) Your background makes me think of that British TV show, Desmond's. I use to watch that show and just crack up! I hope that your weekend was a nice one.

Brea-
It was rainy like crazy on Saturday, right! If it was cold enough we would've gotten about 12 inches of snow. My weekend turned out okay though.
